AZ COLOR Sp. z o. o. Sp.k. To meet the above problem, it has introduced a modern technology of photostabilization of printing on flexible packaging and labels. Production with a protective coating takes place on a specialized production line, which was co-financed from European Funds in the project for the development of innovative potential.

The idea arose from a market need resulting from the growing environmental awareness and an attempt to replace mono laminates with materials. Until now, we use laminates with a UV barrier to produce labels that are exposed to direct sunlight. This applies to products placed in shop windows, on external shelves of petrol stations, at fairs, in construction wholesalers or in warehouses with artificial fertilizers, etc. Coating the labels with a laminate with a UV barrier changes its structure from a monolayer raw material to a two-layer laminate. This causes problems with recycling, but also increases the cost of a secure print. During the research it also turned out that the varnish with a UV barrier can be used for other types of packaging in which the laminate cannot be used, eg shrink sleeve. Until now, thermoformable packaging has not been protected against photodegradation in any way, and this is what we enable.
